Student Diversity Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Peer Mentorship Program, established in 2023 with support from the Office of the Chancellor<\/a>, was launched in Fall 2024 by the Student Diversity Center to address barriers to student success and enhance retention efforts for second- and third-year UWB students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the program, mentors and mentees will cultivate valuable skills, including leadership, resource navigation, program development, success planning and academic strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program utilizes a one-to-one peer coaching model combined with group skill-building workshops to help students set and achieve their goals. Through these interactions, participants not only receive personalized guidance from their peer mentors but also connect with a broader community. This supportive environment fosters a strong sense of belonging and empowers students to thrive both academically and personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 – 2025 Cohort <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The current Peer Mentorship cohort includes three mentors and nine mentees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program kicks off with an official meeting event and concludes with a celebratory gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon successfully completing the program, mentees are awarded a scholarship in recognition of their participation and growth.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
