SNHS is proud to introduce the Health Studies Student Association!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Health Studies Student Association (HSSA) was founded in Spring 2020 with the hope of creating a community of students who value understanding healthcare from a global standpoint and want to learn more about what the Health Studies program here at UWB has to offer. Their mission is to introduce diverse roles in health-related fields, provide information on majors and minors in the Health Studies program, and create an interdisciplinary environment for all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This winter quarter, they will be holding general meetings every other Wednesday from 6-7pm. Each meeting holds a different activity whether that be games, current news presentations, or guest speakers. There is also a mentorship program in the works that they are hoping to launch late Winter quarter. Name: Alina Lalji (she\/her\/hers)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Position: Co-President <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major\/minor: 3rd year pre-med student majoring in Health Studies with a minor in Global Health <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career Goals: Attend medical school to become an emergency or preventative medicine physician <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Name: Hannah Berg (she\/her\/hers)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Position: Co-President <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major\/minor: 4th year Health Studies student with a minor in Global Health and Health Education & Promotion <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career Goals: Serve as a public health educator by directly providing education through outreach and promotion <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Name: Emily Tuy (she\/her\/hers)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Position: Vice President <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major\/minor: 3rd year Health Studies student with a minor in Community Psychology <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career Goals: Become a clinical psychologist <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Position: Director of Marketing & Outreach<\/p>\n\n\n\n
