Behavioral Health Director and Lecturer Hoa Appel will be making two presentations at this year's American Public Health Association (APHA) annual conference. The first is titled "Psychiatric Disorders in Latinas: Discrimination, family cohesion, social support, and religious involvement". The second is "Character strengths and religious coping positively linked with anxiety in cardiac patients." Dr. Appel has served as a journal and abstract reviewer for APHA and has been an APHA member since 2005. <\/p>
