Miriam wanted to be a teacher growing up, until she went on a volunteer trip to Kenya the summer after graduating high school. During her trip in Kenya, Miriam volunteered at an orphanage for children with HIV and AIDS.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/miriam-witt.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28793\"><\/figure>\n\n<p>Witt began the RN to BSN program at the UW Bothell and graduated in 2014. Feeling inspired by her trip to Kenya, Witt found time to volunteer with medical nonprofits that send humanitarian teams to help the victims of disasters and wars around the world. She also began teaching clinical nursing as an adjunct instructor at Skagit Valley College.
