As a school, we are committed to advancing social justice, health and the nursing practice through innovative pedagogy, research and community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The health of individuals, communities and the globe are inextricable. Whether as a nurse, a global health worker or a patient, understanding one\u2019s position and contributions to a healthier world is the goal of health literacy. A social justice approach to health literacy requires the critical thinking, writing and community engagement skills that are central to the mission of UW Bothell.
