Then Take the Next step with UW Bothell\u2019s RN-to-BSN.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>UW Bothell Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-to-BSN)<\/strong> program is designed for graduates of nursing programs of community or technical colleges who have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> An Associate Degree in Nursing or diploma in nursing from a hospital-based program.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold or are in the process of obtaining, a valid Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If admission into the UW Bothell Bachelor of Science degree program is your goal and you don&#8217;t have a the initial nursing education or an RN license, complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/undergraduate\/rn-bsn\/admissions\">necessary admission requirements <\/a>which includes an associate degree in nursing or a diploma in nursing from a hospital-based nursing school and being licensed as an RN in Washington State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Associate Degree RN Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, Washington State offers multiple Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) programs. These programs  include the education needed to become a Licensed Registered Nursing (RN). To explore approved programs, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/nursing.wa.gov\/education\/nursing-education-programs\/lists-commission-approved-nursing-education-programs\">Washington State Department of Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of approved programs includes Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs that do not require an ADN or RN license for admission. These are pre-licensure programs, which include the education needed to become a registered nurse and obtain an RN license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast, the UW Bothell RN-to-BSN is a post-licensure program designed for registered nurses who have completed their initial nursing education and obtained an RN license. The program builds on that foundation and provides an opportunity to advance your nursing education by completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Both pathways lead to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Start with your RN License.
