You can find more information about sending your official transcripts to UW Bothell by visiting the <a href=\"\/admissions\/apply\/faq#transcripts\">Admission webpage<\/a>. <em>(Note: UW Bothell does not require you to submit transcripts from work done at UW Seattle or UW Tacoma.)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/undergraduate\/health-studies\/advising\">advisor <\/a>to discuss your next steps.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personal statement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your personal statement is an opportunity to introduce yourself to the admissions committee and tell us about your interests in studying health. Once admitted to the Health Studies program, your personal statement is used by your advisor and Health Studies faculty to guide you towards career goals and professional experiences.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The personal and professional experiences you share in your statement are as valuable to us as your academic record. Before responding to the prompt below, we encourage you to look through the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/undergraduate\/health-studies\/overview\">\u00a0curriculum and learning objectives for the major<\/a>\u00a0to help guide your thoughts. (500 to 650 words)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prompt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What are some of your professional and personal goals, and how can the Health Studies major help you achieve these goals?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Describe relevant experiences informing your understanding of health. Examples could be personal, professional, community, and\/or academic.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"\/academic-support-programs\/wacc\">Writing and Communication Center<\/a> will provide prospective and current UW Bothell students with guidance on your personal statement&#8217;s structure and content.
