Graduate applicants who have been denied admission to the UW Bothell Master of Nursing or the Master of Science in Community Health and Social Justice program may appeal the decision by submitting a written request to the Graduate Program Coordinator (GPC) of the program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon receipt of the written appeal, the Graduate Program Coordinator (GPC) or designee will create an ad hoc committee comprised of graduate faculty who did not initially review the application. The committee will review the original application, the admission committee notes, and the written appeal. The committee may request a phone interview but does not conduct in-person appeals. All appeal decisions are final. Denial of an appeal does not have implications for admissions decisions in subsequent applications. The GPC or their designee will communicate the final decision to the appellant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Submit a written appeal within two weeks of the denial for admission. Should an appeal be granted it may or may not be for the quarter and year for which the applicant originally applied. Exceptions for an extension of the two-week submission requirement may be granted at the discretion of the program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appeals are to be emailed to uwbnhs@uw.edu <\/em><\/strong>with the subject line \u201cAdmissions Appeal and the name of the graduate program\u201d. Appeal decisions will be sent to the appellant via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The written petition should be a maximum of 700 words. Because individual circumstances vary, the following pointers are intended as general guidelines only.
