Enrolled in part-time or full-time credits for the quarter the award is dispersed and in good academic standing (cumulative GPA of 2.0 undergraduate\/cumulative GPA of 3.0 graduate).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong> Submit a narrative between 250-500 words, describing how you have applied knowledge gained from your program to create positive change\u202fthat reflects the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/about\/mission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">School of Nursing &amp; Health Studies Mission<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evaluation of submission:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provides\u202f1-2 examples of how\u202fcourse content\u202fwas used or will be used,\u202fto implement\u202fpositive change in\u202fa\u202fprofessional or\u202fcommunity\u202fsetting. This can be a theoretical concept, class project, CBLR or COIL assignment, fieldwork, etc. (include course title).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The positive\u202fchange contributed to\u202fone or more of the following\u202fwhich reflects the School\u2019s Mission:&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Progress towards social equity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change in health policy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work in health advocacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing community partnerships\u202fand\/or engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved health literacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local to global practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Created and\/or improved inclusive health processes and outcomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engaged in an effort to apply learning to practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>The availability of funding is limited and varies annually. The awards given to selected recipients may differ based on the strength of the application.&nbsp;Awards typically range from $500-$1,500 for undergraduate student and up to $2,000 for graduate students.
