This <\/strong>School of Nursing and Health Studies scholarship provides students the opportunity to demonstrate a commitment to\u202fcommunity engagement and the health of diverse communities. As part of this scholarship, candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the LGBTQ+ community are considered for the\u202fMontana Gray Memorial Fund<\/a> for an award of $500.00.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility: <\/strong>Accepted to one of the following programs: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies, Master of Nursing or Master of Science in Community Health and Social Justice. Enrolled in part-time or full-time credits for the quarter the award is dispersed and in good academic standing (cumulative GPA of 2.0 undergraduate\/cumulative GPA of 3.0 graduate). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions:<\/strong> Submit a narrative between 250-500 words addressing how you have engaged with the Health of Diverse & Underserved Communities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluation of submission:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Evidence of involvement, participation with, or demonstrated support of an underserved community (evidence of commitment to the LGBTQ+ community for consideration of additional funds stated in the purpose).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Specific examples of contribution and impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Self-reflection on contributions to the community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Understanding of the community to specific health issues impacting the group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    \n\n\n\n

    The availability of funding is limited and varies annually. The awards given to selected recipients may differ based on the strength of the application. Awards typically range from $500-$1,500 for undergraduate student and up to $2,000 for graduate students. The graduate scholarships may be applied to tuition and fees only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
