If so, you may be eligible for our Nurse Scholars program. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nurse Scholars program provides a streamlined pathway to UW Bothell\u2019s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) RN-to-BSN program. As a Nurse Scholar, you\u2019ll benefit from a simplified application and review process, including a waived application fee\u2014removing common barriers to admission. Through participating local nursing programs at <strong>Everett Community College<\/strong>, <strong>Lake Washington Institute of Technology<\/strong>, and <strong>Shoreline Community College<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No application fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No resume required to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No personal statement required to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opportunity to earn credits towards the BSN during summer quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take up to 15 months after graduation to start the RN-to-BSN program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrollment in one of the participating RN programs, automatically qualifies you to apply to the RN-to-BSN program through the Nurse Scholars Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An Associate Degree in Nursing from a partner Nursing Program (Everett, Shoreline, Lake Washington Institute of Technology) with a minimum 3.2 cumulative Nursing GPA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start the RN-to-BSN program within 15 months of graduating with an Associate Degree in Nursing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion of 10 credits of Arts &amp; Humanities credits.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English Composition requirement (ENGL&amp;101 or ENGL&amp; 102).<br><em>Advanced Placement does not count toward the Composition requirement.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English Language Proficiency if applicable. <br><em>If the majority of your education was outside of the US and in a language other than English, the student must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Interested students should review the Nurse Scholars course offerings information sheet, below, and email <a href=\"mailto:uwbnhs@uw.edu\">uwbnhs@uw.edu<\/a> to reserve their seat.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. <strong>Can I use financial aid to cover the 5 credits over the summer quarter? <\/strong><br>Unfortunately, at this time students will not be eligible to use financial aid for the summer coursework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.<strong> Where and when can I start my BSN degree?<\/strong><br>The BSN program offers classes at the Bothell campus, Everett, and Shoreline in a hybrid format, which is a combination of in-person instruction and online learning. Review our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/undergraduate\/rn-bsn\/schedules\">starting quarters, and site information<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. <strong>What if I become ineligible, what do I do?<\/strong><br>Complete the regular application and submit the required documents.
