The National Public Health theme, Uplifting Mental Health and Wellness, reflections are written by the UW Bothell School of Nursing and Health Studies Behavioral Health team. The team is interdisciplinary and includes Drs. Hoa Appel, Annie Bruck, Shari L. Dworkin, Sunita Iyer, Ko Niitsu, Andrea Stone, and Mo West. 

With a UW Bothell School of Nursing and Health Studies' Master of Nursing Administrative Leadership track, Brian Velasco is confident leading a team of clinical nurses at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle’s safety net hospital.

Susan Collins, MN '19, emphasizes the importance of communication and the value of her education.  Moving from a bedside nursing position to Harborview's Magnet coordinator, Collins credits her success to the business and nursing skills she learned in the MN program.  She is, "really proud of the education I received at UW Bothell.” 

Through education programs with the United Nations and the American Chemical Society, Dr. Grace Lasker is promoting sustainable chemistry, embedded with values of social and environmental justice.
