MN Student Provides Aid in Venezuela

Miriam Witt and group of childrenMiriam Witt, alumna & current student, traveled to Venezuela in June.  Her team provided medical aid in several locations including the lands of the isolated Yukpa tribe.  She also worked in medical tents that offered relief to patients walking to the border.

Aimee Desrochers, Health Studies 2014, received the School of Nursing & Health Studies Outstanding Alumni award.  Aimee has volunteered with the Peace Corps, earned an MS in Global Health, and now works at the US Agency for International Development.
