The University of Washington Bothell’s Rotaract club, Rotary members and local firefighters volunteered at a free barbecue for the residents at Camp Unity, a tent village in Woodinville, Washington.
There are now almost 100 student clubs at the University of Washington Bothell, including yoga and drone-building. Other organizations and offices on campus offer students a range of events that have both academic and social benefits.
The UW Bothell TrickFire Robotics club designed and manufactured a robot that competed in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s annual Robotic Mining Competition at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The UW Bothell Cryptocurrency Club brings together students interested in digital currencies and the underlying blockchain technology. The club shares ideas, brings speakers to campus and make contacts that can lead to jobs. Future activities include a cryptocurrency festival and mining a new coin.
The goal of the recently formed Self-Defense Club at the University of Washington Bothell is simple: bring students and campus safety officers together to strengthen campus security and ensure students are better prepared to deal with emergencies of all sorts.
