UW Bothell grads among highest earners in state

One year after graduation, the median salaries of UW Bothell graduates with bachelor’s degrees are above the state median in nearly all of their fields — and consistently among the top three schools for earnings, according to the Education Research & Data Center.

Alumni now may receive one-on-one career counseling from University of Washington Bothell Career Services for up to two years after graduation. This valuable service has been expanded from three months to better serve graduates in a changing work world.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, the UW Bothell Alumni Council will host its signature Husky football viewing party. Proceeds from the viewing party, which is hosted in partnership with Technology Access Foundation (TAF) and the School of Educational Studies, will support teacher equity in Washington state. University of Washington Bothell names Monroe Schools Superintendent Fredrika Smith the 2016 Distinguished Alumna of the Year

University of Washington Bothell has named Monroe Schools Superintendent Fredrika Smith the 2016 Distinguished Alumna of the Year. Smith, who goes by “Deka,” earned her bachelor’s degree in the liberal studies program in 1994 and reconnected with the University as a lecturer six years ago in the Leadership Development for Educators master’s program.

Perfect day for alumni 5K, block party

Nearly 650 people ran or walked in the 11th annual 5K, and more than 1,000 took part in the second annual block party and brewfest. Spring weather was perfect May 7, and together the alumni weekend events raised about $12,000 for student scholarships.
