Nearly 1,500 new students arrived on campus for autumn quarter — 829 first-year students and 666 transfers. The official count showed a total of nearly 6,000 students — 5,364 undergraduates and 572 graduate or professional students.
Telling the story of her own family, Zarefah Baroud (Media & Communications Studies ’19) created a documentary about the displacement of Palestinians, an event they refer to as the Nakba — Arabic for “catastrophe.”

A hallway in Founders Hall is a gallery where quarterly exhibits recognize student artists. Fourteen photos on display now explore perspective and bring students into their work as subjects.
Scott Shirley, the secretary of Student Veterans of America, represented UW Bothell at a national SVA conference and learned leadership skills to help promote the visibility and benefits of having veterans on campus.
