The University of Washington Bothell has selected Jennifer McLoud-Mann to receive the 2016 Distinguished Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity award. The associate professor of mathematics and colleagues made mathematics history and international headlines when they discovered a new type of convex pentagon to tile the plane.

Janelle Silva is the recipient of the University of Washington Bothell’s 2016 Distinguished Teaching Award. Silva is an assistant professor of community psychology in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.

The University of Washington Bothell’s student club for mobile app developers recently won a competition for code efficiency. The H[app]iness Development Club will use its $500 prize to buy equipment for the club.
