In pursuit of higher education, Jasmine Vu Nguyen faced rejection, experienced self-doubt and questioned her long-formed plans. Yet, she persevered — and this year was named one of the UW’s Husky 100. 

UW Bothell has earned a gold rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements in Grounds and in Water from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. 

Yasmin Yaquelin Carmona put her classroom learning to work throughout her four years at UW Bothell, first to fulfill a course requirement and then to serve as a paraeducator at a local high school. 

UW Bothell alumnus Marcus Johnson ’16 was awarded a 2022 UW Excellence in Teaching Award for his contributions as a doctoral candidate to his students’ learning and development.  

As a young child, Monserrat Morales Miranda helped her immigrant family navigate the health care system. As a UW student, she continued working for immigrants and first-generation students on and off campus, earning recognition along the way as one of the UW’s Husky 100 for 2022.
