(Public Health &ndash; Seattle &amp; King County photo)<\/p>\n\n<p>&ldquo;They treated us like family and genuinely cared about our learning experience and time there,&rdquo; said Korn. &ldquo;We worked closely with two team members, but in addition, each of us interns got an additional mentor who we got to meet with a handful of times.&rdquo;<\/p>\n\n<p>Korn says they felt like real employees.<\/p>\n\n<p>&ldquo;We were not just running coffee for everyone, but were truly involved in the project that this team had been working on for over two years. Not only did we contact community members and share our findings, we were actually able to create concrete items, such as the curriculum and blog post, which are excellent for our portfolio,&rdquo; said Korn, who will be graduating in June with a degree in health studies and minor in education and society.<\/p>\n\n<p>The three UW Bothell interns met with child care providers in their homes and interviewed them about incorporating healthy eating and physical activity in their business.
