The Husky 100 students actively connect what happens inside and outside of the classroom and apply what they learn to make a difference on campus, in their communities and for the future. Through their passion, leadership and commitment, these students inspire all of us to shape our own Husky Experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One attribute each of the 11 UW Bothell honorees share is their commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people in their communities. We recognize them here with a brief introduction, to be followed by individual profiles on their experiences and future plans. webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hana Abdulrahman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/Abdulrahman-Hana.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23948\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A graduate student in Policy Studies in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts &amp; Sciences: \u201cI hope to further the conversation around equity and provide access to resources and services to vulnerable communities, starting with my city of Bellevue.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saron Almaw <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/Almaw-Saron.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23949\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior studying Business Administration with a Marketing option\/concentration in the School of Business: \u201cI chose to focus on corporate social responsibility in one of my courses, and it reminded me of my passion for workers\u2019 rights and putting people over profit.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jessica Belmont <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/Belmont-Jessica.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23951\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A winter 2022 graduate from the School of Interdisciplinary Arts &amp; Sciences who majored in Gender, Women &amp; Sexuality Studies and in American &amp; Ethnic Studies: \u201cThe empowerment I have experienced has allowed me to overcome internalized transphobia, and I believe I have become a more effective mentor to queer and trans youth.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Djelli Berisha <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/Berisha-Djelli.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23952\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior studying Biology in the School of STEM, with minors in Chemistry and in Diversity Studies: \u201cI will continue to advocate for the voiceless, break down barriers to health care access and elevate quality of life for all.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Yasmin Yaquelin Carmona <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/Carmona-Yasmin-Yaquelin.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23953\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior studying Society, Ethics &amp; Human Behavior in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts &amp; Sciences, with minors in Education &amp; Society, Diversity Studies, and Teaching &amp; Learning: \u201cWith the idea of equal opportunity for all, I am pursuing further education to gain more skills and attributes that will help me better serve families and students.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Andrew de Vera Cornel <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/de-Vera-Cornel-Andrew.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23954\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A junior studying Media &amp; Communication Studies in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts &amp; Sciences, with a minor in Health Studies: \u201cI am following the path that is meant for me, and I will use my passion to make a difference by starting the Andrew Cornel Foundation.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kira Noelle Lemke <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" junior studying Biology in the School of STEM, with a minor in Neuroscience: \u201cI will take what I\u2019ve learned to research, give back and invest in the scientific community and my fellow humans senior with majors in Global Studies and in Society, Ethics &amp; Human Behavior in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts &amp; Sciences, with a minor in Gender, Women &amp; Sexuality Studies: \u201cI have been reaffirmed in my belief that my life will be best spent advocating for people by creating a positive educational experience and environment.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 Environmental Studies in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts &amp; Sciences: \u201cI will bring the knowledge and skills gained in advocacy, health education and research to promote health equity among refugee and immigrant communities in King County.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monserrat Morales Miranda <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/03\/Miranda-Monserrat-Morales.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23958\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A graduate from the School of Nursing &amp; Health Studies who majored in Health Studies, with minors in Global Health and in Health Education &amp; Promotion, now pursuing a master\u2019s degree in Public Health: \u201cI will advocate for underserved communities and help them reduce the health disparities and social inequalities they experience on a day-to-day basis.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jasmine Vu Nguyen <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img
