Other organizations have similarly recognized UW Bothell, including CNBC&rsquo;s 2020 Make It list that ranks UW Bothell No. 1 in the nation among public colleges for students&rsquo; return on investment. <\/p>\n\n<p>The SmartAsset ranking compares schools based on a variety of data sources, including starting salary, tuition, living expenses, student retention rate and scholarships awarded. Its sources included the 2018<a href=\"https:\/\/nces.ed.gov\/ipeds\/use-the-data\"> National Center for Educational Statistics<\/a> , 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.payscale.com\/college-salary-report\/bachelors\">Payscale<\/a>, The Institute for College Access &amp; Success&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/college-insight.org\/\">College InSight<\/a> and data licensed from Peterson&#039;s Undergraduate Financial Aid and Undergraduate Databases. <\/p>\n\n<p>Below are some key student metrics compiled by Smart Asset about UW Bothell. <\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\n<li>average scholarship and grants: $13,163 <\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>average starting salary: $60,200 (No. 3 in the state) <\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>college tuition: $10,911 <\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>living costs: $15,873 <\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>retention rate: 87% <\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>On its website, <a href=\"https:\/\/smartasset.com\/\">SmartAsset<\/a> features a student-loan calculator, to help people make financial decisions when making plans for higher education.
