Woodinville American Legion Post 127
21920 State Route 9 SE
Woodinville, WA 98072
Approximately 50 students, alumni and staff are expected. Members of the UW Bothell Student Veterans Association will also attend.
WHY: UW Bothell is a veterans-friendly campus with more than 200 student veterans enrolled. For its annual community service project, the UW Bothell alumni association chose a project to honor veterans both on and off campus.
The Student Veterans Association will brief American Legion members on the status of the Student Archway project, a proposed monument to honor the service of student veterans and to celebrate their transition to academic and civilian life. Students are seeking to raise $60,000 to fund the project. For more information on the archway project, visit www.uwb.edu/about/construction/veterans-archway.
