Ana Thompson, a learning and access designer in the Office of Digital Learning & Innovation, works to ensure that tech-based teaching, learning and research tools and resources are accessible and usable to all.
In the elective course, Introduction to Dance, lecturer Dianna Garcia Snyder gives students an outlet to relieve stress, promote overall health, share cultural traditions and creatively express how they feel through movement.
Urban geographer Jin-Kyu Jung co-led a study abroad trip to South Korea to explore what urban residents think of using information and communication technologies to improve transportation, utilities and other city services.
Interactive Media Design major Andrew McDonald helped produce mosquito/NET, a citizen science game app that educates, collects data and fights mosquito-borne diseases.
Miriam Witt has two passions, nursing and teaching, that are being advanced by the University of Washington Bothell. A 2014 Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate, Witt is scheduled to return next fall for a Master of Nursing degree that would allow her to teach nursing at a college.
