The University of Washington Bothell celebrates its 25th graduating class with the biggest commencement exercise in the University’s history. About 1,300 of the 1,800 spring grads are participating in the ceremony June 12 at UW Seattle’s Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion.

Borsuk, Carlisle the 2016 Worthington scholars

Amaranth Borsuk and Shauna Carlisle are the winners of the 2016 Worthington Distinguished Scholar awards. Both are assistant professors in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. The awards arise from the fund established by the late Richard and Lois Worthington to promote excellence and scholarship at UW Bothell. 'Aromathematics' in Discovery Hall

A sculpture created with herbs and spices has been completed, but the aroma will linger until May 27 in the fourth-floor vista of Discovery Hall at University of Washington Bothell. Powdered pentagons are arranged on the floor in the pattern discovered by UW Bothell mathematicians Jennifer McLoud-Mann, Casey Man and David Von Derau.
