Junior Leah Curtis is a volunteer with The Trevor Project, a national organization whose mission is “to end suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people. In this personal essay she contributed to the organization’s Stories of Pride series, Curtis, who is majoring in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies, writes, “I want to show our beautiful young people that they are and should be loved, accepted and celebrated exactly as they are.”
