University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce and Provost Mark A. Richards today announced the selection of Kristin Esterberg, president of the State University of New York at Potsdam, as chancellor of the University of Washington Bothell. Her appointment, pending approval by the UW Board of Regents, is set to begin Oct. 1. 

Students from the University of Washington Bothell didn’t let a global pandemic stop them from conducting research. Despite COVID-19, students were able to present their work at this year’s virtual Undergraduate Research Symposium. 

UW Bothell senior Djelli Berisha has been chosen by Gov. Jay Inslee to serve on the UW’s Board of Regents. ““I have no doubt that he will represent his peers well and ensure that student voices are present where decisions are being made.”

Awards acknowledge Jung Lee, Sakara Buyagawan, Rosemary Simmons and Danette Iyall — all staff at the University of Washington Bothell who went above and beyond to support the Division of Academic Affairs during the pandemic.

Husky Giving Day and the annual Husky 5K raised funds for scholarships and emergency resources. They also connected members of the community to the campus and to each other, much-needed as we emerge from lockdown.
