The University of Washington Bothell’s first full-time student advocate to the Legislature, Salvador Salazar-Cano, builds relationships and promotes policies as the face of UW Bothell students in Olympia.

BOTHELL, Washington — This year’s speaker for the University of Washington Bothell commencement is Washington Supreme Court Associate Justice Mary I. Yu. She will address graduates at the ceremony June 10 at Safeco Field in Seattle.

Washington Solicitor General Noah Purcell explained the state’s successful challenge to President Trump’s initial travel ban in a speech at the University of Washington Bothell. The speech was sponsored by the American Muslim Research Institute, led by Assistant Professor Karam Dana who moderated questions.

Climbing to a popular hot springs in the Cascades, hiking along the scenic Deception Pass on the Salish Sea, even “yoga with goats,” are among the excursions available to students through UW Bothell  Recreation & Wellness.

For its fourth annual Equity and Inclusion Conference the University of Washington Bothell features keynote speaker Ijeoma Oluo, recognized as one of Seattle’s strongest voices for social justice on economic, racial, sexual and gender issues.
