Jody Early, an associate professor in the University of Washington Bothell School of Nursing & Health Sciences, is the recipient of the 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award for Innovation with Technology.

The University of Washington Bothell has presented Jeanne Heuving, a founding faculty member and professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, the 2017 Distinguished Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Award.

Representatives of more than 70 companies found nearly 400 students with resumes in hand Wednesday at the Spring Job and Internship Fair. The event was one of the biggest job fairs yet on campus. It took space in both the North Creek Events Center and the Activities and Recreation Center.

Army National Guard Capt. Aaron Thacker said his University of Washington Bothell liberal studies degree in 1998 gave him critical thinking skills that have served him in an Army career in public affairs and military policing that included deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It also was the period after the presidential election, and the phones were ringing with calls for help and support.
