Yeigh to give BOLD talk


Chancellor Wolf Yeigh will give the Leadership Lesson for the Business and Organization Leadership Development (BOLD) program in the School of Business. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear the veteran naval officer draw on his military experience and leadership in higher education during his interactive presentation on crisis leadership and current events.

Serving low-income students

A U.S. Department of Education list of colleges and universities that do the most to promote access and success to low-income students failed to include any Washington colleges. The Seattle Times looked at the underlying data and found that University of Washington Bothell is one of a few schools in the state where Pell Grant recipients (families earning less than $40,000 a year) actually do slightly better than their non-Pell grant peers.

A team of students from University of Washington Bothell was the only team from the state to compete in a recent speech and debate national competition.

Paving day for new surface parking lot


Workers had a sunny day Friday to pave the new surface parking lot on campus behind Discovery Hall.
The $2 million dollar project will add about 145 parking spaces.
