As a minimum, admission to the M.S. in Computer Science & Software Engineering curriculum requires students to have

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or other closely related field with a 3.0 minimum gpa in the last two years of study
  • Alternatively, A bachelor’s degree in another field with a 3.0 minimum gpa in the last two years of study AND completion of the Graduate Certificate in Software Design and Development
  • Command and competency in the following subjects
    • High-level of competency in object-oriented programming languages including: C/C++ and Java
    • Operating Systems
    • Software processes and software development lifecycle models (prescriptive and agile)
    • Requirements engineering
    • System modeling (such as using UML)
    • Analysis and Design
