Connecting and Staying Connected


All UW departments, including Nursing, all UW Faculty, staff and other students will use your official UW e-mail address to communicate class information, registration information and much more. Therefore, we require you to:

  • Establish your UW NetID . This not only opens your official UW e-mail account, but also sets up your NetID account so you can register for classes.
  • Either use your UW e-mail address or forward your mail from it to your preferred email address. For instructions on forwarding, please see Manage Your UW NetID Resources on the UW Computing Web site.
  • Check your e-mail daily.

Address/Phone/Name Changes

It is essential that we have your current address, email address, and telephone number in order to communicate with you. Please change your address using the MyUW Web site with your UW NetID, and also let your Advisor know of any changes. This information is confidential and will not be divulged without your permission.

It is important that your legal name appear on all your official student records. The name on your official records (transcripts, diplomas, etc.) may not be changed until such time as the name change is legally documented. To change your name, you must fill out a Change of Name form available at the UW Bothell Registrar’s office (Husky Hall Room 1130) and submit it with appropriate documentation.

Bulletin Boards for Nursing Students

Nursing student bulletin boards are located on the inside and outside walls of the Nursing Program Office. Information about upcoming courses, job opportunities, conferences, Brown Bags, and faculty publications are posted.

Email Lists for Nursing Students

All Nursing students are subscribed to a class email list. This e-mail list will provide you with upcoming deadlines, quarterly registration information, special events, general announcements, graduation information, and more.
