Outcomes are a way for instructors to grade students' work based on established criteria. It is also a way for instructors to illustrate the types of quality and/or exceptional work that is to be expected from their students.

Example of learning outcomes

  • To view an outcome, go to the course that the outcome is located in and then click on the Outcome link on the side navigation bar to the left.
  • Here, you will see the Learning Outcomes page, where the outcomes will be listed in the left column, and each outcome details will be shown in the right column.

Outcome Groups

Writing outcome group

  • Outcome groups will be shown as folders and these will contain multiple outcomes for a single category. Instructors might do this to group outcomes together if, for example, there are different expectations for different assignments.
