{"id":5060,"date":"2009-10-29T14:41:45","date_gmt":"2009-10-29T14:41:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/?p=5060"},"modified":"2023-10-19T14:09:19","modified_gmt":"2023-10-19T21:09:19","slug":"supported-software","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/it\/about-it\/guidelines\/supported-software","title":{"rendered":"Supported Software"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n         <h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\nSupported Software\n<\/h1>\n\n\n\n        <p>\n\tSoftware that is already supported by IT can be installed by client request on IT-supported workstations according to the following timelines:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\n<li>\n\t\t1 week turnaround for individual workstations<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>\n\t\t2 week turnaround for labs or multiple workstations<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>\n\tIf the software installation requires computer re-imaging in a lab or classroom, IT typically schedules the work for a quarter break because this activity can seriously disrupt instruction.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSoftware that is not currently supported by IT can be reviewed by IT for future support.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\n<li>\n\t\tSupported software is only available through IT for IT supported computers<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>\n\t\tSoftware must be appropriately licensed for its intended use at UW (for example, some software can be installed in offices, but not labs)<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>\n\t\tSoftware must be purchased through IT; we can&#039;t support software that clients bring in from an external source<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supported Software Software that is already supported by IT can be installed by client request on IT-supported workstations according to the following timelines: If the software installation requires computer re-imaging in a lab or classroom, IT typically schedules the work for a quarter break because this activity can seriously disrupt instruction.
