{"id":18378,"date":"2020-09-15T16:13:20","date_gmt":"2020-09-15T16:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/?p=18378"},"modified":"2025-10-07T11:50:54","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T18:50:54","slug":"tech-resource-guide","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/it\/teaching\/tech-resource-guide","title":{"rendered":"Student Technology Resource Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technology Resources for Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we prepare for the upcoming quarter, we are reminding you of some of the technology resources available to your students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Technology Referral<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are multiple ways that students who may not have resources can get assistance with acquiring the technology. Students in need of a hotspot may, <a href=\"http:\/\/uwb.campus.eab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">submit an EAB Navigate Alert<\/a>. Alerts are found in the top right hand column on each student\u2019s page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choosing the \u201c<strong>Basic Needs<\/strong>\u201d alert option automatically sends the student a link to the loan program webpage and form. Students will be connected with resource navigators who can assist with appropriate options.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Open Learning Lab (OLL)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span><a href=\"\/it\/training-and-support\/teaching-learning\/open-learning-lab\">The Open Learning Lab (OLL)<\/a>, located in UW2-140 and open 8am-8pm Monday-Friday, is the only dedicated drop-in computer lab at UW Bothell for all students regardless of degree or major. Student tutors offer in-person support and assistance on digital media software and campus eLearning tools.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Free and Reduced Cost Software<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The University has many software packages available via the <a href=\"https:\/\/itconnect.uw.edu\/wares\/uware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UW-IT\u2019s UWare program<\/a>. Examples include: Adobe Creative Cloud, SPSS, MS Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AV \/ Media Checkout<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This service is available for faculty and students.
