This handy feature is great may save you time when accessing content linked to more than one account, but it can also cause issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most common issues is that you lose access to certain Google tools because the permission was given to another account. To avoid losing access or end up creating\/editing content in the wrong account when working on your ePortfolio, we recommend the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For best results, use Google Chrome or Firefox<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log out of all Google accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log into the account you will be using for your ePortfolio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a different browser or an <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/95464?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incognito window (in Chrome)<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/kb\/private-browsing-use-firefox-without-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">private window (in Firefox) <\/a>for other accounts or set up <a href=\"https:\/\/shakeuplearning.com\/blog\/youre-doing-it-wrong-how-to-manage-multiple-google-accounts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">additional profiles in Google Chrome<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"sample\" name=\"sample\"><\/a>Sample ePortfolio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/uw.edu\/ias-portfolio-chelsey\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This sample ePortfolio<\/a> submitted by a former student has the main elements of a BIS 499 Capstone ePortfolio using New Google Sites. To start your new ePortfolio, make sure you are using <cite>a personal Gmail account <\/cite>so the site you create leaves with you when you graduate. UW Bothell ePortfolios are built using New Google Site or a <a href=\"https:\/\/eportfoliooptionsforstudents.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">web platform of your choice<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This page provides instructions and links to tutorials to the New Google Sites interface to build an ePortfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steps to get started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to the <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.google.com\/new\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Google Sites homepage<\/a> in Google Chrome or Firefox and log in using your personal Gmail.<br>\n\tIf you are already logged in to Gmail, you can access Google Sites from the Google Apps icon next to your Google account icon on the top right of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"requirements\" name=\"requirements\"><\/a>Create an artifact folder in Google Drive<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These instructions are for general ePortfolio creation using New Google Sites.<br>\nCheck with your instructor or program for specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, watch this <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/qg7d_FqiePo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Drive Video Tutorial<\/a>. Once you are ready to proceed, follow these instructions to create your artifacts folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create folder in <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/my-drive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Drive<\/a>, name [Course] [LastName] Artifacts, depending on your course (e.g., &#8220;CSS499 Smith Artifacts&#8221;).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share the [Course] [LastName] Artifacts, folder by giving viewing access by selecting &#8220;On &#8211; Anyone with the link can view&#8221;.<br>\n\tCreating and sharing the folder as outlined makes anything you put in the folder viewable by your instructor or peers when you add the artifacts to the ePortfolio. All changes save in real time, similarly to Google Docs. See the <a href=\"#requirements\">ePortfolio requirements section<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"update\"><\/a>Update and Personalize your ePortfolio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of your program requirements, each page and sub-page should have the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Main text area with copied\/pasted text content (use Text Box from the Insert menu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embedded artifacts from your artifacts folder in Google Drive (use From Drive from the Insert menu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once My Drive opens, make sure you are in list view. You can tell because instead of folder tiles you&#8217;ll be able to see the last modified date of each item.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional: You can also insert Divider lines to better organize your content on a page.
