School of Educational Studies (SES) portfolios are built through UW Google Sites.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"About\"><\/a>About the Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies<\/h2>\n\n<p>The portfolio process begins when students take B EDUC 399, Capstone Introductory Seminar. In B EDUC 399, students begin the process of collecting artifacts and writing critically and reflectively about five themes in the degree. These themes include:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\n<li>Education and Equity in the United States<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>Teaching and Learning in a Multicultural Society<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>Research and Educational Knowledg<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>Theories of Learning, Culture, and Identity<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>Personal Significance<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Students also begin assembling an annotated bibliography that is meant to span the degree and also plan for B EDUC 495, Applied Experience. The capstone portfolio is completed in B EDUC 499, Capstone Project.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"tools\" name=\"tools\"><\/a>ePortfolio Tools<\/h2>\n\n<p>We recommend you use your own personal email account to create your eportfolio in New Google Sites or any of the other two tools listed below. You will need a Gmail account to use New Google Sites, but for WordPress and Weebly, any personal email account will work.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\n<li><a href=\"\/digital-learning\/eportfolios\/new-google-sites\">New Google Sites<\/a><\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>WordPress\n\t\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\t\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/myneweportfolio.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sample WordPress ePortfolio<\/a><\/li>\n\n\t\t\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.support.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordPress Tutorial<\/a><\/li>\n\n\t<\/ul>\n\n\t<\/li>\n\n\t\n<li>Weebly\n\t\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\t\t\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jamiemcclintock.weebly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sample Weebly ePortfolio<\/a><\/li>\n\n\t\t\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weebly.com\/app\/help\/topics\/first-steps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Weebly Tutorial<\/a><\/li>\n\n\t<\/ul>\n\n\t<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Faculty members, please contact DLI at uwbdli@uw.edu if you have any questions or need assistance.
