Looking to Recycle your old computer or donate it to someone looking for a new computer?
We recommend that you follow these guidelines when getting ready to relieve yourself of the old equipment, making sure that your information and documents remain safe and confidential.
Here are some guidelines to follow when getting rid of your data:
- Utilize Department of Defense approved data destruction software following DOD guidelines
- Destroy the hard drive platters in a manner that does not allow the drive to be rebuilt

To wipe data from your hard drive, we recommend that you use Darik's Boot and Nuke software to destroy all data on your hard drive after you have safely backed up all the data you need to keep.
