SSR and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/international-student-services\/?page_id=24330\">Temporary Protected Status<\/a> are not the same. SSR is specifically for students with active F-1 status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is offered<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SSR allows for the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increased on-campus employment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Off-campus employment authorization (through USCIS), which includes the ability to reduce your full course load.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Speak to a DSO at ISS\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eligibility is determined by the rules set in the Federal Register Notice. Please check the notice yourself first.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive a new I-20 from ISS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If applying for off-campus employment, ISS will direct you on the application with USCIS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is eligible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your country is going through a crisis or emergency, please search the <a
