Have you all had a chance to check out the new Makerspace layout and tools? We have made some awesome improvements this quarter and would love it for you all to check it out.
Did you guys hear that we got ten new 3D printers and a larger laser cutter this school year thanks to SAF!
The Immersive Medical Hackathon is a weekend-long co-creation event that focuses on this intersection of virtual and augmented reality technology with healthcare challenges. It is an opportunity for healthcare professionals, researchers, and technologists to explore the possibilities of this space together.
If you missed it on the home page be sure to check out the latest video from UWB. It features our Makerspace!
It was a fun and buzzy summer! We hope you all caught yourselves a break. This summer we were able to get some new equipment. What's new?
We have a Button Press for all your co-curricular button making needs!
We also have a small scale vinyl cutter. You can use this for many vinyl projects, but we recommend making stickers. Want to deck out your car in new decals? This machine can cut stickers very precisely.
Also new is four Printrbot 3D printers. They print over a cloud service so no SD card transfer is necessary. These increase our capacity for printer use.
Come check it all out! And, in case you missed it, we also have sewing machines in the space. Now, you can patch up ripped clothing and create new cloth pieces in a stitch. We hope you have a rewarding Autumn quarter, and we'll see you in the Makerspace!
