Getting Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

UW NetID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Follow the online instructions.<\/a> You will be asked to choose a UW NetID as well as a password. If you need assistance setting up your UW NetID, please contact Information Technology (IT)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will be prompted to enter your PAC (Private Access Code). Please do not share your PAC with anyone. If you forget your PAC, you must visit the UW Bothell Admissions Office in person to reset the code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Register.UW<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Register.UW<\/a> is a web-based tool used for finding course schedules, registration deadlines, and many other resources at the University of Washington. You can personalize Register.UW<\/a> to fit your needs by including or excluding the services you see listed and adding bookmarks to your favorite links. To access Register.UW<\/a>, you must first create your UW NetID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration Procedure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once you have created your UW NetID, log on to Register.UW<\/a> using your UW NetID and password. From the Student Personal Services menu on the left side of the Register.UW<\/a> home page, select Registration. At the beginning of Registration Period 1, the UW requires that students confirm their current address and make a decision regarding ASUWB membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the Schedule Line Number (SLN) for each course you wish to add. In most cases, you will leave all other fields blank. To view available classes, choose Time Schedule under the Registration Resources menu. The Time Schedule will open in a separate, smaller window so you can have both windows open and toggle between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After making your course selections, click Update Schedule at the bottom of the Registration Screen. Your selections will be accepted only if all sections are available and there are no restrictions that would prevent you from registering (such as prerequisites). Messages will appear on the right side of the screen to alert you to any problems. Make any necessary revisions and resubmit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After registering, you may log on to Register.UW<\/a> as often as you like to check the status of sections, list your confirmed schedule, add or drop courses, or check your account balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registering for Classes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You are responsible for registering for your own courses and for changing your registration as needed via the Register.UW<\/a> by the appropriate deadlines listed on the Academic Calendar<\/a>. The UWB Time Schedule of Classes<\/a> is typically posted online at by the 4th week of the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review the Curriculum section of your graduate program website, and the quarterly UWB Time Schedule of Classes for your required courses and elective options. You can register for courses in your program on the first date eligible. To avoid late fees, register before the quarter begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add\/drop deadlines, tuition schedules and deadlines, grading options, withdrawal policies, and the tuition exemption policy should be reviewed before the quarter begins. When add codes are required for course registration, contact the IAS Graduate Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Immunization Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All enrolled matriculated UW students are required to provide proof of vaccination of measles, mumps, and meningitis ACWY before they register for classes. For more information and to submit your records, please review the UW Immunization Requirements website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Account and Loan Status Inquiries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Use Register.UW<\/a> to:
\u2022 Find your current account balance
\u2022 Get a summary of disbursed financial aid and check availability
\u2022 Determine if outside lender loan funds are available
\u2022 Get the latest recorded student account payment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grades<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Register.UW<\/a> will list officially recorded grades for the most recently completed quarter. To list all grades, click on the upside-down triangle next to the quarter displayed and scroll down. Select \u201cAll Quarters\u201d and submit. This will list your entire UW record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change of Address<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Use this service to change your addresses (local and permanent) provided to the Student Directory and used by the Office of the Registrar, Office of Student Financial Aid, Student Accounts Office, Student Loans Office, and other University departments and offices. You may also use this feature to change your directory release information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t have Web access from home, there are numerous places where computers are available for your use, including the campus Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may contact the Registrar\u2019s Office at (425) 352-5240 for assistance with registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Husky ID Card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Eligible students, faculty & staff may obtain their Husky Card by visiting the Enrollment Services desk on the lower level of Summit Hall during building hours. You will need to have your UW student\/employee ID number, as well as a U.S. state \u2013 or federally-issued photo identification, such as a driver\u2019s license or passport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
