As examples, alumni have gone onto doctoral programs in English and Poetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-highlight-paragraph-grey-background\">Students considering advanced education degrees and teaching certification in K-12 levels may explore options through the <a href=\"\/ias\/graduate\/mfa\/curriculum\/outside-electives#education\">UW Bothell School of Educational Studies<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.washington.edu\/teaching-careers\">UW Department of English<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Career Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics program and the University of Washington Bothell offer multiple resources for your career development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a student enrolled in the program, you enjoy membership in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.awpwriter.org\/\">Association of Writers &amp; Writing Programs (AWP)<\/a>, and access to its services for finding jobs, residencies and fellowships, and publication opportunities.
