Karam Dana organizes the inaugural lecture of the American Muslim Research Institute, speaks on Palestine and Arab public opinion

April 28, 2014 - IAS faculty member Karam Dana launched the American Muslim Research Institute (AMRI) at the University of Washington Bothell with an inaugural event featuring a lecture by Dean Lawrence Pintak of the Edward Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, “Covering Islam on Main Street: How foreign crises have become a domestic story.”  Dana also presented a paper based on his Palestinian Public Opinion Survey at the annual conference of the Midwest Political Science Association.  At the annual conference of the Western Political Science Association, Dana presented papers on Arab public opinion and on mosques in the UK.  Finally, he spoke on the politics of incarceration in Palestine and the United States at the Peace Works Conference 2014 at the Evergreen State College.
