Kristie Johnson discusses career with the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office

Kristie Johnson ('07, Society, Ethics & Human Behavior) visited campus to share her career journey in the public sector.  Kristie is the current Public Records Officer and a Legal Services Supervisor for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (KCPAO). Having worked for the KCPAO since 1997, Kristie has held many positions which include: Office Manager and Staff Supervisor of the Juvenile Division (2013-2015), Public Records Officer (2008-2013), and Criminal Division Paralegal (2003-2008). Policy Studies Alumni Share their Career Paths with Students

Four Policy Studies alumni recently met with current Policy Studies students to share their career trajectories and lessons learned along the way. Collectively, they highlighted the value and relevance of  their education, which built skills in research and analysis, program administration, critical thinking, advocacy, and collaboration.  Alumni included: Mariah Crystal (’10),  Jefferson Ketchel (’08), Vy Nguyen (’12), and Josh Thompson (’11).

Mina Hooshangi thrives as a project manager at Boeing

Mina Hooshangi ('11, Community Psychology) is a Project Manager at The Boeing Company. A part of the Engineering community, her role specifically focuses on supporting mentoring, internships, onboarding, and skills management initiatives. Mina has used her IAS education to help her excel within three diverse positions at Boeing beginning in Quality, moving over to Employee Development, and now testing the waters with Project Management—all within a short four-year period. In addition, she serves as the Communications Chair on the Boeing Women in Leadership Executive Board.
