Scott Kurashige Speaks about Grace Lee Boggs

IAS faculty member Scott Kurashige spoke to NPR about Grace Lee Boggs on All Things Considered.  Grace Lee Boggs, who died in Detroit on October 5, 2015 at the age of 100, was a long-time activist, philosopher, and author.  She and Kurashige co-authored The Next American Revolution: Sustainable Activism for the Twenty-First Century in 2012. Boggs “understood that revolutions don’t come from anger, they come from love. And they just don’t replace the people in power, they create a whole new system," Kurashige said in an interview on PRI’s The World. "While Grace would be humbled and honored by all of the tributes coming her way, she would want everyone to use this moment to read, study, discuss, and organize to deepen their individual and collective philosophic knowledge," Kurashige told NBC.
