UW Bothell Student Housing is now operating on a waitlist for the 2017-18 Academic Year Housing Application. 

You may access the housing application once you have been admitted to the University of Washington Bothell. To begin your application click the purple Apply Now! button above. Please note the priority application dates listed below:

Priority Dates for Autumn 2017-18

  • Current Housing Residents Priority Deadline; March 30, 2017
  • Incoming First Year Students; Apply by April 16, 2017
  • Incoming Non-First Year Students; Apply by June 5, 2017

Applications must be submitted on or before 11:59pm PST for the given priority dates listed above.

The $50 application fee is non-refundable and must be submitted each time you apply. It cannot be transferred to another application, to another campus, or to another student. Before applying, please review the Billing and Payments page. The submission of a housing application does not guarantee you a spot in the Housing Program, however, housing offers are made on a space-available basis. 

Missed Your Priority Date?

We still encourage any interested students to apply. Once your application has been submitted, it will remain on file until you receieve an offer or until the end of the occupancy term in which you applied.


Housing Application Timeline

The student housing application timeline is listed below. Both the application and a $50 application fee must be received for the application to be considered complete. The student housing offers are based on the following priority order:

  • Current Student Housing Residents
  • Incoming First Year Students who live at least 30 miles from campus (including Whidbey Island)
  • Incoming First Year Students who live within 30 miles from campus
  • Transfer Students who live at least 30 miles from campus (including Whidbey Island)
  • Continuing undergraduate students who live at least 30 miles from campus (including Whidbey Island)
  • Transfer Students who live within 30 miles from campus
  • All continuing undergraduate students within 30 miles from campus
  • Graduate students

Within each priority category, the University reserves the right to prioritize based on the distance between the student's permanent address and campus.

Requesting a Specific Roommate

"" Applicants may request a specific roommate on the application. Requests will be considered if:

  • Both applicants have mutually requested one another; and,
  • Both applicants have submitted at approximately the same time; and,
  • Space is available.

Both applicants must enter requested roommate’s UW NetID on the application in order to be considered. If a roommate is not specified, a roommate will be assigned by the Student Housing Office. Responses to the smoking and lifestyle questions on the application will be taken into consideration when roommates are assigned.


Housing Communications

The Housing Office will send all correspondence to applicants and residents via their UW email accounts. Please check your UW email account regularly. You are responsible for receiving and reviewing any information sent by the Housing Office to your UW email account.

How to Accept a Housing Offer

Once you are admitted to the housing program, you will receive an Offer via your UW-Email. In order to accept the Offer, you must electronically-sign your agreement in the housing portal, and pay the $500 deposit by the Offer Deadline. After submitting the agreement and deposit by the Offer Deadline, you will receive your move-in packet in August, which will include room and roommate assignments along with details on what to bring on move-in day!

Housing Deferral Request

If you need to request a Housing Deposit Deferral Request form, which deferrs the $500 housing deposit, please download the form and submit to uwbhousing@uw.edu and include your Award Letter from Financial Aid, as indicated at the top of the Deposit Deferral Request form
