Featured Programs

Our students travel with programs selected specifically for the Global Scholars program.

All students in the Global Scholars Program will participate in an immersive study abroad or internship program during the summer. The program works closely with the UW Bothell Global Initiatives office to identify study abroad opportunities that can strongly support and engage students from diverse backgrounds. We also partner with Omprakash, a Seattle-based global nonprofit organization, that connects students with internships around the world. Internships located in the US are organized for students through Career Services and the Office of Community-Based Learning & Research

Course programming, workshops, and other activities in the Global Scholars Program are organized around the specific application deadlines for these featured study abroad and internship opportunities. So while students do have the opportunity to join Global Scholars and participate in a different study abroad or internship program, they are still required to apply by the same deadline of our featured programs. Scholars wishing to partipate in alternate study abroad or internship programs should work closely with Program Directors to ensure they remain eligible for the Global Scholars program.

More information about featured study abroad programs for Summer 2020 will be posted soon.
