The intern will also help lead these events that are centered around building community and ecological knowledge and wonder. The intern supports with newsletter writing as well as general assistance with planning, promoting, and leading environmental education events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Past projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Camp Smore environmental education support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park hosts Camp S&#8217;mores, an overnight outdoor adventure for about 75 families. An intern will help plan and lead activities including art projects, guided hikes, and introductory paddleboarding or kayaking sessions. The intern works closely with the event committee to design the full schedule for the July 25\u201326 event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">City of Kenmore tree inventory<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interns collaborate with the City of Kenmore to update the public tree inventory by identifying species, documenting tree health, and collecting location data using GIS tools.
