Communications sent to the UW Bothell community in November

November 2, 2020 | A critical time to stand together - message from Chancellor Wolf Yeigh

Dear UW Bothell students, faculty and staff,

I hope you have had an opportunity to see UW President Ana Mari Cauce’s message to the tri-campus community earlier today. As she notes, this is a particularly difficult election season, and given the many other issues we are all facing, it is more important than ever that we focus time and special attention on taking care of ourselves and each other.

I echo her sentiments and strongly encourage you to heed her good advice.

I also write on the eve of the election to make sure you are aware of some additional resources and events available to our campus community.

Students can access services through UW Bothell’s Counseling Center website and the Care Team website.

The Campus Safety team is available to everyone 24/7.

This updated UW Bothell Elections/Voting webpage also lists a wide variety of pre- and post-election events and resources, including information on:

  • voting on campus;
  • election programing for UW Bothell students, faculty and staff;
  • election resources;
  • faculty and staff support; and
  • ways to get involved if you can’t vote.

This information was compiled by the team in Community-Based Learning & Research, led by Director of Community Engagement Kara Adams, as well as multiple people in Achieving Community Transformation, Associated Students of the University of Washington Bothell, First Year and Pre-Major Program, Government and Community Relations, Organizational Excellence & Human Resources, Student Diversity Center, and Student Engagement & Activities. They all have my thanks and appreciation.

Please make good use of this timely and important resource.
