Through a wide variety of grants for students, professionals, artists and scholars, the program aims to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/connected-learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2023\/07\/2017-general-fulbright-presentation.pdf\">View this Fulbright presentation, <em>Engaging with the World: Grants for Study, Research, or Teaching Assistantships Abroad<\/em><\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most Fulbright grants applications are due during the early fall (September \u2013 October). For example, the UW campus deadline for applicants to the U.S. Student Fulbright Program is in early September and the national deadline is in early-mid October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grants begin the following academic year<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Early September<\/strong>: UW deadline for students and alumni applying for U.S. Student grants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>September 15<\/strong>: National deadline for Fulbright Scholar awards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Late September<\/strong>: Mandatory campus interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mid-October<\/strong>: National deadline for students and alumni applying for U.S. Student grants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>November\/December<\/strong>: National Screening Committees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>January \u2013 May<\/strong>: Selection by Fulbright Commissions\/Embassies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>February 1<\/strong>: National deadline for some (very few) Fulbright Scholar awards (e.g. International Education Administrators Program)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>February \u2013 May<\/strong>: Final Selection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Past UW Bothell Fulbright recipients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out the growing list of alumni, faculty and staff who have participated in the Fulbright Program and carried out exciting projects around the world with support from the Fulbright Program.
