Commencement Ceremony 2020
What is the satus of the 2020 ceremony?
- Given restrictions on public events due to the coronavirus pandemic, the University has made the decision to not hold any Commencement Ceremonies or other related graduation activities in person this June.
What will happen this spring instead?
- As announced by President Cauce, UW Bothell graduates will have the option to participate in a virtual, University-wide ceremony on Saturday, June 13, 2020. This event will include conferral of degrees and offer special congratulations to UW Bothell’s Class of 2020 graduates who choose to join this optional program. If you would like to attend this virtual event, please RSVP via the registration/order form.
- Even if you would not like to participate in the June 13th 2020 virtual event, the registration/order form is the perfect opportunity to make purchases, opt-in for a complimentary grad box, update your address, etc. We strongly encourage all graduating seniors to fill out the form.
What about postponing and having an in-person ceremony?
- We strongly believe in the value of celebrating this important milestone together, in person. In addition to the virtual ceremony, we have decided to celebrate the graduating Class of 2020 in June 2021 (date TBD) at T-Mobile Park. Further communications and instructions about the 2021 ceremony will be sent out to students in Fall 2020. PLEASE NOTE: After you graduate, you lose your UW email. To recieve further communications about next year's ceremony, you must update your email forwarding.
